Second Temple is dedicated

516 BC (About 2500 years ago): The second Temple is consecrated for worship 70 years after the Babylonians had destroyed it in 586 BC. It is much smaller than the original Temple, the one that had been built by King Solomon more than 300 years earlier. (Centuries later, King Herod remodeled the second Temple and made it substantially larger).
