Jesus Christ is born in Bethlehem

About 5 BC (About 2000 years ago): Jesus the Messiah (Christ) is born in the town of Bethlehem. The Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 2:4-6) explains that the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem is the fulfillment of a prophecy delivered by the prophet Micah, about 700 years beforehand (Micah 5:2).
