Epaphras was a Christian preacher from the town of Colossae (Col. 1:7; 4:12). When Paul was a prisoner of Rome, Epaphras came to him with a favorable account of the church at Colossae. He stayed with Paul in Rome, and was, in a sense, his "fellow prisoner" (Philem. 23)
