Maakah, wife of King David

Maakah was a wife of King David, one of eight wives who are named in the Bible, and the mother of their son Absalom.

She was the daughter of Talmai, King of Geshur.

There are several people - women and men - in the Bible with the name of Maakah. This Maakah is mentioned by name in 2 Samuel 3:3 and 1 Chronicles 3:2.
