Jerusha (or Jerushah)

Jerusha was a daughter of Zadok, a priest during the time when King David reigned over Israel, about 3,000 years ago. Jerusha married King Uzziah and gave birth to a son, Jotham, who became King of Israel.

Jerusha is mentioned by name in 2 Kings 15:33 and 2 Chronicles 27:1.

The name Jerusha means "taken possession of" or "married."
